Does it overheat mainly at an idle or while driving at slow speed? And temp runs in normal range at highway speeds. If so inspect your fan to insure its operating properly. It should be coming on when vehicle starts to get hot at idle or slower speeds. It should also come on at idle if ac is turned on. If it's not coming on test fan motor. Also how old is your radiator cap? And after doing the work to cooling system did you completely burp all the air out of the system. If not this will also cause it to overheat.
all the parts are new, maybe the thermostat bad
When does it overheat? Highway speeds or while driving slow or at an idle?
when driving slow or at an idle
i haven't put it on the highway yet
Make sure cooling system has all the air burped out of it. Also check to see if cooling fans are coming on.
