I cannot figure out where the pump could be disconnected from. Can I take the back

At the top of the tailgate, when it's opened, you'll see a rubber boot that goes from the body to the tailgate door. Remove it and check for a broken or disconnected hose. Since this area is always pivoting when the tailgate is opened and closed these hoses and wiring in that pivot point are prone to wear and breakage. HTH. -Jim
