Why does the TP senser keep malfunctioning on my 2003Impala?

I have replaced the TP sensor 3 times.Drive it
home and engine light turns on.I have taken it to
shop and has life time warranty.

Check the throttle stop and throttle cable adjustments. Their improper functioning could cause the switch to fail.
