I replaced the battery & after a couple days the vacuum that pulls the doors & trunk closed stopped working. Unhooked & hooked the battery up again same thing works fine for a couple days & stops, please help. 1994 S500 sedan .
One of the servo is bad creating a vaccum leak usually the trunk goes bad first (as more moving parts!
You have a leak somewhere in the closing assist. Common faulty parts are the trunk handle and the gas flap lock actuator. You can remove fuses 3&9 from the fuse box in the trunk for about 10 seconds the reset the closing assist. But that won't fix the problem.
Thanks to Michael & Ted. I never had a problem with it until I replaced the battery. I will try the fuses in order to do a reset,I wasn't sure if there was a way to do that. Thanks again.
