If I can't afford the dealer and my 1998 e430 has no key what components can I remove at salvage yard from a mercedes there to make ignition work I get parts for free that's why?
You need to have the new key programed to the ignition/computer. Not sure what parts you need, even if you could do it. A new key runs around $150-$250 for most newer cars now to deter theft. Get 2 so you have one in case you lose the other. A small price in owning a car if you think about it.
Sir I thank u for ur wisdom .....but I need to know has anybody out there started a mercedes with out dealer and how plzzzz?
A decent locksmith might be able to help you if your dead set against going to the dealer.
