What TYPE engine do I have

Have a 1991 560 sel with a blown engine.  I want to replace it with a used engine.  This is my 1st MZB and I don't know the different engines.  I have notiece that there is a typew 107 and a type 126.  How do I check to see which one I have.

107 and 126 is the body. If its a 560sel then it's a 5.6L engine. I just bought a 560SEC and I have a 5.6L in it. P.S. I am also a first time MBZ owner. So far as I know W126 is the platform on the car.
