Pulling a travel trailer with a suburban questions

Inside the door it says 4000 pounds on my 2004 Chevy
suburban 1500 if I install a break controller and my stirring
well can I pull a travel trailer and what would be my Max
weight anyone out there that is done this before what
problems have you come across

whats on the door is your max weight, brakes won't make the load lighter.
