if it isnt under the motor attached to the transmission it is underneath the intake

92Benz answered 12 years ago

I just replaced the starter in my 92 300SE. It's under the engine on the left side. You will need to get the car up in the air on jackstands. It bolts to the tranny and into the engine block, 2 bolts 2 wires and a ground on the mount bolts.
