How do you jumpstart a 2004 chevy SSR

Asked by Mar 30, 2015 at 12:49 AM about the 2004 Chevrolet SSR 2 Dr LS Convertible Standard Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I haven't driven my SSR for quite some time and the battery has lost it's charge. The battery is a little over one year old. So, I think getting it started and running it for a while will do the trick. I know the battery is located underneath the pickup bed, but I think there are cables located under the hood for jumpstarting, ect. I can't locate them and I am not a mechanic. Please help.

Owners manual should have the location. I think there should be a red junction box on the right side inner fender that you can use. I would use a Deltran battery tender on the battery over the winter while you store it in the future.
