I bought a Toyota and the engine
is dirty? How do I clean it to be
clean on the outside? Can I Spray
it off at a carwash with hot water
without problems? What areas do I
not spray? I want to clean it for
my mechanics to work on

I use engine brite , but I am careful not to spray wires , distributer , or air intake .. I usually run the car for 5 minutes before I start so that it dries faster.(clean with engine off) I don't warm it up more than 1/4 way on the gauge so that the block is not too hot. be careful , you don't want to wait until the next 80 degree day before you can drive it. and use as little water as possible.
