how hard is it to put the front seal in and do I need to drop the engine in a 1990 Toyota tercel?

you may have to take the engine off it's mounts and with a woodblock and floor jack take it up a bit so you can get in there...but honestly with clearances from taking off reservoirs and such would say that your chances are excellent of not having to "drop the engine"...where? on a foot?
