4 wheel drive wont turn off.

Asked by Momama Nov 14, 2014 at 10:27 AM about the 2003 Toyota Sequoia Limited 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I spun my tires up a hill and engaged 4 wheel drive.  I heard a clunk as it engaged.  Now I
am trying to disengage the 4 wheel drive.  The 4 green lights go off but the red center
light keeps flashing.  The tires spin and are not in 4 wheel drive even though the four
green lights are on while the center red light keeps flashing.

Try backing up quickly than slam the brakes on. Worked for me.
