How to stop Headlights and Taillights from flashing on 02 Camry

My son must have some how set off a security type alarm ...its not beeping but lights keep flashing . is there a sequence to shut this off or reset

Have you tried cranking car,,or dissconnect battery cable for a few minutes.

The car will start and run , but once you shut it off the headlights and tail lights keep flashing. dead battery in no time at that rate. we were told that by taking off the battery cables it could lock the car in a security mode.....don't know. Im feeling dumb

There was one when we bought the car new but it never worked

im not gona say for sure by taking battery cable will hurt,but i think it is already in a securty state now,i would dissconnect cable,or find a remote and program to car,to fix,but at this point i would take cable off.It cant do any more than it is doing now< : )
