I have a 2001 Toyota Camry and the trunk has filled with water up past the spare tire. Is there an easy fix?
Before you can fix the leak, you will need to find it. Typical things to look for are a weak or missing seal around the edge of the trunk or water entering the trunk from a bad rear window seal. Once you find the leak, then you can go about determining how to fix it.
One person in trunk with flash light. One person you can trust outside with a garden hose. Start at a low point near the bottom of the trunk and work your way up to include the rear window. Good Luck
The most common leak is from the tail light seals. They go bad and then the spare tire area fills up. I usually remove the tail lights and put clear silicone around the edges.
