What would be the cause of a' 00 Camry to sputter and be hard to start after sitting cold for a few hours? Just replaced the transmission in it but it sat for a few weeks without being cranked

Start with a basic tune up. If you haven't done one already. Fuel filter, plugs, wires, air filter. Check for vacuum leaks. If problem persists, re- post, and let us know.

This may also be a dirty Air Idle Control Valve. Try this easy fix. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i82s4ZfR2js
