Car won’t start after stalling out. HELPPP

Asked by Napoleon Dec 16, 2018 at 06:53 PM about the 1999 Toyota Avalon 4 Dr XL Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car won’t start. I was driving and it loss all
power as it would not accelerate anymore. Every
warning light came on. Had it looked at by several
mechanics. First it was thought to be the fuel
pump or crankshaft sensor (not the problem) It
was also thought to be the fuel injection relay and
spark plugs but a mechanic said it’s not that either
and it may be the key but we had different keys
tested and that wasn’t the problem either. Now we
are stuck with thinking it’s the wiring in the ignition
cylinder.  No one has a positive diagnosis of the
problem.  The car starts now but cuts back off
after a few seconds. The fuel pump works the
battery has been charged. Crankshaft sensor have
been replaced. Pep boys conducted diagnosis of
the car and still no answer

This happened to me today now they say it was a dirty throttle body .. we will see tho , I just Changed the fuel pump , starter , sensors now they say it’s a dirty throttle . Wow !

Yoooooo I just had this same exact mf problem!! My fiancé put water in the coolant container because the car originally started overheating. That’s when this problem started happened. To fix the issue I press the 115V button under the key slot on the right hand side . It’s the 2nd black button. It has a light on it to indicate it’s on. Turn it off. It’s too high for your battery as to why all the signs come on. You don’t have enough coolant too probably. Regardless, turned the 115V button off got the car to start after experiencing this problem.
