I have a 2000 Subaru Outback that won't start. I have replaced the starter twice, and still nothing. I was told to try the starter relay, but can't seem to find the location of the relay. Any idea where the starter relay is located. I have contacted multiple auto shops and no one can seem to help me find where this is located. Can you help?
Engine has been replaced w/ an engine from a 2002 subaru outback due to shop blowing motor with timing belt installed incorrectly. Not sure if this affects the answer.
Should be right in front of the steering wheel under the hood...on the left side of the engine mount.
Are you referring to the location of the starter - Or starter relay? I don't think the issue is with the starter motor, as I've replaced it twice with the same results.
Relay is underside dash near turning signal relay.
If the shop installed an engine that won't start it is their job to fix it!
