Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Engine stalled when i pulled into driveway and applied the brakes. it did restart but there is
loud knocking sound now. i suspect a rod but could it be a stuck valve or bad lifters. not
smoking or misfiring.

Time to rip into the engine or replace. Hard to tell what the issue is where I sit.

Sounds like a rod bearing. Doubtfull it's a lifter or valve.
