Used 2022 Subaru Legacy for Sale near Baton Rouge, LA

Subaru makes several rugged, adventure-ready vehicles, but people sometimes forget the company also makes more pedestrian models, including sedans. The Legacy is the brand’s flagship sedan and has been around in one form or another since 1989. The car enters 2022 with a tiny price bump, new features, and a well-organized trim structure. Subaru offers the 2022 Legacy in six trim levels: base, Premium, Sport, Limited, Limited XT, and Touring XT. The first four trims come with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 182 horsepower, but the top two trims get a turbocharged 2.4-liter engine that makes 260 hp. Both engines are paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and standard all-wheel drive (AWD). Subaru says that the CVT comes with an eight-speed manual shift mode that can be operated via steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters. The base Legacy gets standard all-wheel drive with active torque vectoring, 17-inch alloy wheels, adaptive cruise control with lane centering, pre-collision braking, throttle management, lane-departure warning, sway warning, a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Bluetooth. Stepping up through the trim levels can bring features such as a power moonroof, reverse automatic braking, an 11.6-inch infotainment touchscreen, additional USB ports, and rear climate-control vents. Though it’s not technically a premium sedan, top Legacy trims do get several premium features. The Touring XT model has a 180-degree front camera system, leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, and more. Though the Legacy gets Subaru’s excellent EyeSight safety package as standard equipment, the cars are available with options to bump their safety credentials. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, LED fog lights, and a driver-distraction monitor are optional. LED headlights, both high and low beam, rear-seat reminders, and a rearview camera are also standard for all Legacy models. Subaru says that the 2022 Legacy will begin arriving on dealers’ lots in summer 2021, alongside its cousin, the Outback wagon. Pricing will begin at $23,955 including destination, and will reach $37,155 for the top Legacy Touring XT trim. Subaru notes that 2022’s pricing represents just a $100 increase from the year before. Several options are available for most trim levels except the top Touring XT trim.
