My security system in my car goes off from unlocking it. The lock&unlock and trunk button don't work on my remote so I can't reset my system. What do I do?

Asked by Nov 04, 2014 at 01:39 AM about the 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix GT

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I don't want to spend $200 fixing my remote
that partially still works. Any advice would
be appreciated.

Did you replace the battery in it? Try that.

Yes just replaced it. The dealership told me I'd need a whole new one but I'm hoping I just have to change the pad on it
