Reduced engine power TPS and MAF

Asked by Nov 28, 2016 at 02:45 PM about the 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car was giving codes for MAF, TPS, and
displaying reduced power and traction control
message. This all started after reconnection of the
battery following water pump repair. The car would
not stay running in park but would if I put it in gear.
It ran ok while driving with the exception of a
hesitation between 1000 and 1500 rpm and no
boost. Problem turned out to be a broken vacuum
line that went to the MAP sensor and boost
controller.  Glad I went on an Easter egg hunt under
the hood before buying $400 in parts like the
computer and dealer mechanics suggest stating
the computer lost calibration to bad parts after
disconnecting the battery.
