electrical issue?!?!?!

Asked by Guru94N1XM Sep 17, 2020 at 12:48 AM about the 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GT1

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was driving down the road my car ''reset'' itself. i.e. the doors unlocked and locked, the gauges went thru the initial power cycle, my headlights shut off and turned back on. Meanwhile the engine stayed running the entire time.

I would scan the car for trouble codes, then check that battery connections are clean and tight and that all grounds are clean and tight. Load test the battery and replace it if necessary. Address anything that requires attention and wait to see if it happens again.
