Electrical issue possibly

Asked by Shaun Oct 27, 2018 at 11:49 AM about the 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2002 Pontiac grand prix gtp. I turn on the heat or ac on any
setting and it shuts off along with my radio lights,
headlights, instrument panel, and thermostat lights. Any
ideas what could be causing it?

Sounds like a short of some sort in the switch, but that's just a shot in the dark. I'd find a shop that specializes in auto electrical and let them diagnose it. Electrical problems are tough to sort out in modern cars and unless you're an electrical guru, you'll probably just waste money and frustrate yourself.
