I have a 2003 Pontiac grand prix gt and it won't start..everything cones on on the dash but that it.what could be the problem

Follow the positive (+) battery cable down to the starter. Grab a hammer and whack the starter two or three times. If it then starts the starter is bad. If not, try starting it in neutral. If it starts then, neutral safety switch is bad. If it still won't start are you using a new/different key. If so it must be programmed into the car's security system before you can use it to start the car. HTH. -Jim
