Will a 1991 Olds Toronado 3.8L swap into a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix with a 3.1L?

It probably can be done but it will take time and research. First question is why? The engine will fit as it is the same size as the 3.8 series 2 engines installed in that car. The tranny should bolt up. The main issue would be the EFI and associated sensors. Even if you swapped and spliced it in there tuning it to run right would be a nightmare. The 3400 has compariable power to the 91 3.8 series 1 or older pre-series 3.8's and would drop in (would run without tuning but better with).
