Air sucking through oil fill

Asked by Aug 23, 2016 at 08:57 AM about the 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix 4 Dr SE Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car seems to be sucking air through
oil fill cap. Sometimes it will idle rough
and sometimes it will idle just fine. The
car runs just fine going down the
highway. Replaced upper and lower
intake manifold gaskets and nothing
changed. 3800 series II. 145,000 miles
