My 1997 pioniac grand prix won't shift into gears after 1st in drive, I just change the transmission fluid and filter and put in this stuff that makes it not shift hard and fix slipping shifts.

Sounds like a bad 1-2 shift solenoid in the transmission. Not a cheap fix! The additive probably gummed up the other solenoids as well. HTH. -Jim

It's has a rebuild transmission in it, it's only 3 years old, with 20000 miles on it

It only happens in drive not when I do it manually

That's not surprising. My '02 Impala had a rebuild GM transmission in it. It was a retired police car. About 2 months after I bought it the transmission started bucking and the check engine light came on. I had it repaired under GMs transferrable warranty. The transmission had less than 30,000 miles on it. My Chevy dealer told me 3 of the shift solenoids were bad. HTH. -Jim
