Why is my temp hand still showing the car is
running hot when i put new head gaskets on it

your thermostat should be a 195 degree one~ if it is Stuck will cause the overheat like you say~

I meant 295...real near boiling point~ my tea has gone cold~

perhaps they failed to put coolant in there~?

you may have problem with radiator clogging

Mechanic did do a good job, take it back.

Most likely still air in cooling system like Tom says take it back to who did the job.
