Car won't start after over heating

Asked by Jo Apr 22, 2016 at 12:57 AM about the 2005 Pontiac Grand Am SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car started over heating. After a little  better
look I replaced the water pump and the thermostat.
The car still over heats and for some reason won't
start after over heating until it cools.

What is said above is true, but first did you bleed out the air from the cooling system when refilling it?
