Do I have an electrical problem?

Asked by acoffey214 Jan 06, 2021 at 09:46 PM about the 2003 Pontiac Grand Am GT

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2003 Pontiac kept idling high and driving by
itself we put a throttle body on it and it kind of fixed
the problem all the gages are in the correct place
now. But now it’s randomly shutting off while
driving. One day all my buttons ( my ac, rear
defrost, ect) will work an another day they won’t.
The car also will change the amount of gas it says it
has. It told me it was empty I went and filled it up.
And showed it filled up, 5 minutes later it told me it
was empty ( obviously it wasn’t). Is this an electrical
problem?Maybe  in the ignition.

Squirrely things like this point at ECM (computer) issues. Have any codes read, check connections where you can, and schedule an appointment with a reputable shop if you don't find anything, Happy hunting!
