So i have an 02 grand am. Been having problem after problem.

Asked by Jul 20, 2015 at 10:19 AM about the 2002 Pontiac Grand Am GT

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

About 1-2 months ago my car started
cranking before it would start up.
Through out a 3-4 week span the
cranking just got worse. Now my car
just cranks and cranks, won't start,
fuel pump does not kick in. I got it
scanned the other day and no codes
are coming up. Any ideas?!

If this starting getting worse over time and the fuel pump no longer works, don't you think it's time for a new fuel pump?

A faulty fuel pump will not trip a code. You might want to probe the fuel pump wiring to determine if it is in fact the pump vs a wiring issue.

Well I just changed my fuel pump exactly a year ago.
