in what order do the sparkplug wires go onto the distributor cap in 1990 Audi 100?

Asked by Oct 24, 2013 at 12:06 PM about the 1990 Audi 100 Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

car started prior to changing the plugs and wires on 1990 Audi 100 and now it wont start. It is turning over but just cranks. I've done this many times and know the how-to process but I wanted to ask around before I mess something up even worse.

The firing order is 1,2,4,5,3. #1 on the cap is in the five o'clock position if you're looking at it from the front of the car. #1 on the block being the plug nearest the front of car. An auto parts store can print off a sheet better describing it. Good luck!
