why does my car chug like its going to die only when im stopped at a light or stop sign and once i push on the gas it goes fine with little or no hesitation
my 2001 Pontiac grand and chugs only when i am stopped at a light or at a stop sign. its fine once i press on the gas to accelerate but occasionally it does resist a little when i push on the gas but it does not die. it all started when i filled the tank up with gas one day.
Maybe you got a bad batch of gas, run it down close to "E" and try another station. Since you said you felt some resistance, try cleaning the throttle cable and throttle body itself from the inside. It might be full of carbon.
