Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1994 Pontiac grandam 2.3 liter and my
problem is when I'm driving on the highway for
awhile then come on an off Ramp to stop or try
and stop at a stop light, my car wants to die. When
it does die, I turn it back on but when put in gear,
dies again. Help?

Torque converter is staying in lockup mode and stays there until the pressure bleeds out. So you can either take it to a tranny shop and have the solenoids replaced or unplug the lockup solenoid plug on the front of the transmission you will loose the lockup that way and you might notice some fuel mileage loss.
