How do I start my 2000 mercury grand Marquis after changing the starter and alternator?

I recently had a alternator catch
fire from the top by wires..
Changed wires that were
damaged,alternator,and starter
figuring that fire blew it out but
still it won't start....also I was told
it had a remote start and all but
have no door code or remote at
all could that stop my car from
starting?

You may have fried your ignition relay. Try replacing that. There is usually a large fuse under the hood also. Maybe a 30 or 60 amp fuse. Check that to make sure it's not blown.

I replaced fuses but it won't keep power somethings still draining my battery...

    Gauge registers below mid point....alternator is 13.5 volts running (does flucuate at times) and battery is 12.3 at rest.
