Is there a recall regarding the cruise control? How do I remedy or trouble shoot?

There was a Ford recall on many cruise control systems but that was for fire hazard not turning on its self and setting. CALL Ford directly 1-800-392-3673

I would unhook the cruise control servo cable from the throttle body until this is resolved. Could be wiring, switches or a faulty servo control.

I've got a 2008 Mercury Marquis LS I've had it into the shop three times for the cruise control if I hit the off button on the minus button it will come on the only way I can get it to release is to tap the brake pedal the switches will not disengage it is it dangerous
