1996 audi a4 Quattro stick. front left axle assembly. It matches pics in chiltonguide but 4x we have ordered part-twice based on vin and we have gotten the wrong part are we missing something?

you may have a different engine then specified or the website you are ordering from probably does not know the difference of the parts which is probably the ladder on that one and its most likely the site has no idea the parts very try ordering from this website you should have better luck as its the web site i always order my axles from. http://www.primechoiceautoparts.ca always a good price and always the right part. they manly deal in axles for audi's. and there is 2 types of drive axles one is oil compressed which has a large piston like assembly the standard cheap one is just a regular old metal bar

I have a 2005 A4 cabriolet 3.0 engine. The timing belt broke and the engine needed to be replaced. The used engine had 70,000 miles on it. 1998 audi a4 1.8t on the driver side where the oil filter srews into the whole unit what it called i was told that it is my oil cooler but it is lecking oil from the top of the part and it only does it when the car is running it does have hoses that connet to it 2 Answers

It the part where the oil temp switch srews into it and it is almost to the bottom of the engine

I have a 98 Audi a4 2.8 quattro that was running great and when I left the store it would not start until the third try and it rev'd up on its own and died out now won't start at all?? 2 Answers

It rev'd up to about 2 5 I threw it in gear and died out it rev'd up very weak so my first thought was something in the fuel system does anyone have a clue what this could be?
