Asked by Oct 23, 2015 at 05:05 PM about the 2005 Lincoln Town Car Signature

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The oil changing guy said he can not get my car up on the rack because the rear air suspension bags switch is turned off, he said , if I turn it on you might get the pump burned out or something expensive  happen. What can I do? where should I take it to get fixed and how much should it cost??

1 Answer

On/Off switch for compressor located in trunk, is for when car is towed or anytime rear end losses contact with ground, to keep from over inflating air ride suspension. If the switch is off the car can be hoisted. The switch is on for normal operations.
