air suspension of 2003 Lincoln town car

The back of my car was noticeably lower than the front.  The spring in the
rear had recently been replaced.  I was told the air suspension compressor
had to be replaced.  However, I decided to take it someplace else.  They
filled the air bag lifted the car to its normal position and disabled the air
compressor to give me a better ride until I had it replaced.  This was 200
miles ago.  The car is riding fine.  Can I leave it as it is or should I still have
the compressor changed?

You may also have a leak somewhere that caused it to drop, and no way to restore ride height without compressor hooked up. At some point it's going to have to be serviced.
