i installed a new engine on my 99 lincoln town car and it wont start

if I pour gas in throttle body it starts but wont keep running so .I installed new fuel pump it still wont start

Check fuel pump relay,and or fuse,s

thanks I try that ,I just learned it has a fuel shut off in the trunk .is that a switch and can that have been turned on when I hooked the battery back up

if that don't work ill just hire someone to sit on the fender and spray fuel then it works great ...and I forgot to say I don't here the pump turn on either..thanks for your knowlege

Yes the one in trunk is and inerstia swicth,if car was bumped hard,it can cause this. Good luck with it.

Check relays and fuses! Then check to make sure the switch in the glove box or trunk is on! Also when you installed the new fuel pump, make sure the switch on the gas tank to the fuel pump is on ! Good luck!
