Why does my gas cap not click

My cars check engine light came
on the code was p0455

Get a new gas cap. If that does not do it then you have another leak in the EVAP system.

I did it doesnt click either i cleared the code out going to see if that stops it

I bought a new one and it still doent make the click noise tighting it
