My 2002 jeep grand cherokee 4.7 v8 is having lots of problems.I checked the cylinders with a gauge and cylinder 1 came out to 50 psp i know this is bad. What do i do now. Please help

Try putting in a little oil in the low cylinder and rerun the compression test, if it comes up a fair amount then you have bad rings if it stays the same then you have a valve or piston problem, you could also pressurize the cylinder and listen to hear where the air is going, either out the exhaust, intake or into the oil pan, that will tell you if you have to pull the engine or just the heads.
