I have a 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 Z71 pickup that has an oil pressure alarm that keeps going off whenever I stop the vehicle?

The idle is low around 5k rpm and the oil pressure alarm keeps going off when I am stopped but is fine when moving?

Check the oil level and change the oil and filter but you could have a worn engine, worn oil pump or just a faulty oil pressure sender. If the truck is idling too low you may want to deal with that too.
