fuel pump not engaging on 1998 gmc k1500 5.7L
1998 gmc k1500 5.7L. one of the inserts on the connector for the fuel pump is not getting juice to it. according to a wiring diagram it is the gray pump power wire. there are 4 ports in the connector. 2 grounds. pump power. and sender signal. the sender signal has power but nothing to the pump power port. which is why the fuel pump is not engaging i assume. i put a new fuel pump relay in also just for safe measure. any ideas would be greatly appreciated. thank you
Some of the chevy's have a fuel shut down relay that trips in an accident. One comes up in a parts search but I deal with vans mostly not PU.
I wish I knew I put a new fuel pump on wired just like diagram , started right up ran it for 20 miles , noticed the rear brake light were not working put new bulbs in and now it won't start. I have no fire to the fuel pump relay the power wire is gray. So tired all the time something goes wrong on this pickup
