I have a 96' GMC Sierra 5.7L. Cranks over but will not start, any solutions?
It could be the fuel pump. My truck did that once and the fuel pump was the problem. Get as close to the fuel tank as you can and listen. Have someone turn the ignition on but dont crank the engine You should hear the motor on the fuel pump run for a second or two and then shut off. If you dont hear this it could be the fuel pump. You can try to get under the fuel tank and give it a good kick. Sometimes the pump will start working again enough to get it home or to the shop.
