On a 2003 GMC Envoy, what would cause both heat and AC to stop blowing strongly?

Asked by Mar 31, 2015 at 11:20 PM about the 2003 GMC Envoy XL SLE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I started my Envoy tonight and
turned on the AC and it made one
single pop noise then quit. There
wasn't any air coming through the
heat or AC until I started moving.

Sounds like the fuse for the blower motor blew. GMs usually have 2 fuses for this. One for high speed and one for the other speeds. See if it will work on any speed. If the fuses check out it may be the resistor block for the blower motor. They tend to be troublesome on GMs. HTH. -Jim
