2006 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer 4 door 4x4

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ok here goes! Bought my truck about year to year and half ago. "NEVER" I
repeat "NEVER" have I had any engine or tranny issues.. Nor have I ever
had "any" issues with it in gears anything... Back end of May 2018 I drove it
to meet my sister at South of Border in SC, granted was "hot" out.. We made
it NC almost SC lines when it in middle of driving loss speed over 3rd gear. It
would go into all gears and drive and as soon as got to 3rd gear it would Rev
up RPMS and speed "wouldnt" go over 30mph. Ended up changing tranny
fluids, tranny filter and speed sensors. After this the truck made it "without
any" issues at all from NC to DE... Now awhile after this "months" when I get
to 3rd gear I let off gas til the RPM's go down then give gas gently and it
goes right in next gears "no" issues... So a few days ago as driving it again
"NO" issues.....drove fine.. Got  behind a car doing 10/15 mph in a 45/50mph
and people honking cause wouldn't pass her.. So I was "already" in I believe
2nd gear. I sped up to pass her and let my foot off gas while passing so
would lower rpm's to go into 3rd gear as normal, saw oncoming traffic and
this point went to give gas (which maybe to much) and dont believe it had
enough time to go into 3rd gear during this process.. The tuck immediately
REVed up and then lost power.. (meaning) when went to give has REV up
and RPM's jumped and truck wont move. It "is" shifting into "every" gear no
promblems and when give it gas it "wants" to go but acts as emergency
brake is engaged keeping it from moving so just REVS up. I DO NOT believe
tranny is the issue... We went and changed fluid n filter last night was burnt
maybe old or cause of what happened (NO shavings or Anything) in it. Do
you think its the solenoid input/output speed sensors???
