I have a 2002 ford exscape and the abs light comes on then shuts the vehicle down what can this be

ABS light is one of your wheels sensors is faulty or the module itself, you can have the vehicle scanned for codes to pinpoint which sensor it is, As far as it shutting down on you, it could be related. How many miles on the Escape, change the spark plugs?
