2001 chevy 1500
Hey guy, I hope you guys can help I have a 2001
Chevy 1500 4.3 liter. Recently replaced the
sparkplugs, feul filter, and fuel pump assembly.
And it still isn't running right it won't rev past
2000rpm well actually 1800, and when I hold the
gas pedal down it stutters. But if I am in gear and
moving it revs past 2000rpm but sifts really rough
and won't go past 35mph. What could be wrong
with my truck?
Will it rev higher in neutral? I'm thinking clogged cat or blockage getting air. These trucks are real sensitive to fuel pressure in a sense they either work or dont. The injectors just won't fire at all under 45psi. Still not a bad idea to check pressure
No it stays right around 2000rpm. And ok thank you I'll check the pressure. I also remember that it was back firing after I replaced the sparkplugs.
Have you tried revving it but staying light on the pedal? Will it go higher?
I also just thought, have you checked for codes?
