why do i see the IROC decal location on the door of the car not consistantly in the same spot? some are closer to the front of the door and some closer to the back. What's the proper location?

For that, you'll need a factory shop manual or factory body manual. There will be the correct placement specifications in there. Try eBay or Faxon Auto Literature in Riverside, California for the manuals. They have a website. HTH. - Jim
